Microsoft launched Win10 Build KB4598298 system update for Windows10 1909 system
Recently, Microsoft pushed the Win10 Build 18363.1350 (KB4598298) system update for the Win10 1909 system.
This update is 449.7MB in size and contains many bug fixes. However, this update has not been released to the latest Win10 20H2 users.
According to the news, Microsoft plans to push an update for Win10 20H2 users later this month, which will include all the improvements of KB4598298.
The important details of this update are:
- Correct the information of the historical daylight saving time (DST) authority.
- Allow administrators to use the group Internet Explorer to disable independent applications while continuing to use Microsoft Edge’s IE mode.
- Fixed an issue with the UAC (Unexpected) User Account Control dialog box when opening speech recognition.
- Change the way that DirectX 12 runtime components are loaded, and split the d3d12.dll binary file into two parts: d3d12.dll and d3d12core.dll. This change improves version control and updates of these components. This can increase the loading speed .
- Solved the issue that the device displayed a blank lock screen after waking up from sleep.
- Use the registry to add support for serial number control.
- Solved the problem that prevented you from opening documents on the Windows desktop and generated the error “Invalid directory name”. After changing the desktop location in the “Location” tab of the “Desktop Properties” dialog box, (File Explorer> “Desktop”> appears).
Windows10 1909 users who want to download this update can go to ‘Settings’ → ‘Update and Security’ → ‘View Optional Updates’.
Additionally, customers can open the webpage to install the KB4598298 stand-alone installation package. Note that you have to choose ‘Windows 10, version 1903 and later.
