As early as December 2020, Xiaomi launched its latest flagship smartphone-Mi11. It has powerful hardware and software features, such as Android 11 and Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Looking forward, the Chinese technology company is preparing to expand the device beyond the Chinese market. Well, we are now to 2021, Xiaomi will launch several new smartphones and flagship products, which will be the successor of Mi 11 at the end of 2021.

According to recent reports, Xiaomi Mi 12 may use an LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) screen.

Not only Mi 12 but also a series of devices will use LTPO display, including OPPO Find X3 series, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Huawei Mate 50 Pro, iPhone 12s Pro, iPhone 12s Pro Max.

LTPO stands for low-temperature polycrystalline oxide. It is an OLED display backplane technology developed by Apple. LTPO is actually suitable for OLED and LCD displays, but this backplane technology is likely to be only used for high-end OLED displays.

The LTPO screen is currently one of the best displays in the industry and is considered the technology of the future. Samsung has taken the lead in using it on its flagship products.

According to Xiaomi’s plan, Qualcomm’s new-generation flagship processor is expected to be unveiled together with Mi 12.
