LG releases key modules for next-generation electronic vehicles: UWB technology can be used for high-precision positioning and support parking lot finding
According to the news, LG Innotek, a subsidiary of LG Electronics, has developed the latest model of electronic car key module, which is used to connect a smartphone to realize the electronic car key function.
This module is installed in the car and utilizes a network such as Bluetooth to connect to the owner’s smartphone while achieving high-precision positioning that is convenient for finding vehicles in the parking lot.
As per the news, the new electronic car key module has high-security performance, can identify the digital key stored in the smartphone to unlock the vehicle, and can completely replace the traditional car key.
The module can realize remote start, door unlocking/locking, and positioning functions. LG’s existing modules can already implement UWB ultra-wideband radio technology for positioning.
However, LG said that the new generation of products will increase the positioning accuracy by 5 times, making it easier for drivers to find vehicles in underground garages and other places. Additionally, the new version of the module improves the security performance and can prevent hackers from copying the car keys.
