As per the report, Google may release a new Google tv in March 2021 to replace the current mainstream Android TV. But it is not a brand new operating system, but based on Android TV. Google TV will bring a new UI interface to smart TVs, set-top boxes, and other devices.
By looking at the functions, the new Google TV will help users quickly find what they really want to watch based on their preferences in various applications and subscriptions. For example, when a user wants to watch a horror movie, just use the voice command ‘find horror movie’, and then Google TV will find all horror movies in all downloaded apps and subscriptions.
This will effectively help users save time because they no longer have to open each streaming media application to find it separately. Currently, Google TV can be used with many applications such as Disney +, Netflix, YouTube, etc. It is supposed that more platforms will join in the future.
