Today, Apple released the new technical preview version of the Safari browser, version 119. The new beta version of the browser fixes some bugs and improves the running performance of several tools in order to test new technologies in advance and prepare for the official version.
The Safari 119 preview version improves the performance of the web page inspector, speech recognition, CSS, scrolling, JavaScript, Media, WebAssembly, Web Animations, Accessibility, and Web API. Among them, the low-power audio output helps more audio hardware, and some errors in PDF display and SVG images are fixed.
This version of the browser is developed based on the official version of Safari 14 and is available in the macOS Big Sur version. The latest Safari 14 browser supports Web extensions to import data from other browsers; it supports functions such as label preview, password leak notification, and Touch ID authentication.
The Safari 119 technical preview version is possible in macOS Catalina and macOS Big Sur. The browser can coexist with the official version of Safari, and users can download it without a developer account.
