Hardware monitoring tool HWiNFO launched version 6.42, supports Nvidia RTX 30 series Temperature monitoring of GDDR6X video memory

HWiNFO, a hardware monitoring tool commonly used by computer hardware players, updated version 6.42 yesterday, adding compatibility to many new motherboards such as MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS, and improving sensor monitoring performance.

Additionally, it also supports Nvidia RTX 30 series Temperature monitoring of GDDR6X video memory.

WiNFO 6.42 update log:

  • Improved compatibility for AMD’s upcoming CPU and APU
  • Fixed the stuttering problem of some devices equipped with Intel Thunderbolt interface chip
  • Improve the sensor monitoring performance of ASUS ROG STRIX B550-XE motherboard
  • If the BIOS provides the correct information, the software can report the address of the DIMM memory
  • Repair the monitoring of the VRM power supply module of ASRock Z490 Tai Chi and B550 Iron Legend motherboards
  • Added monitoring of NVIDIA GPU Effective Clock (effective frequency)
  • Improve the reported effect of NVIDIA GPU serial number
  • Improve MSI Z590, B560 motherboard sensor monitoring effect
  • Improve the monitoring effect of micro-Gigabyte Z590, B560, H570, Q570, H510 motherboard sensors
  • Added the monitoring function of Aquacomputer far week 360 and high-flow NEXT water cooling equipment
  • Added some fan speed monitoring of MSI motherboards
  • Improve the monitoring effect of some ASRock Z560, H570, B560 motherboard sensors
  • Added GDDR6X memory T-junction temperature monitoring function for NVIDIA RTX 30 series graphics cards.

This tool test the memory temperature of RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards. The results show that the temperature of GDDR6X video memory can be as high as 95 degrees or even 100 degrees when the public graphics card is baked.
