In October 2020, Huawei launched the Mate 40 series. At the press conference, in addition to Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS, Huawei also launched a fifth model ——Mate 30E Pro 5G.
As per the previous report, an OCE-AN00 device has passed the wireless charging certification, indicating that Huawei seems to have a Mate 40 series model under development, with a 6.5-inch OLED screen and a resolution of 2376 x 1080, Equipped with a 2.86GHz chip, it will appear in front of you as Mate 40E.
Currently, Huawei has a low-profile version of Mate40 that has not been able to release. The main camera of the machine is changed from a 50MP imx700 sensor to a 64MP sensor. He believes that due to the previous ban, Huawei’s major suppliers have not yet resumed supply, which has led to a shortage of core components of Huawei’s mobile phones.
A Huawei insider also revealed that the company has already reserved the big amount of Kirin 9000 chipset for the upcoming flagships, Huawei P50 and Mate 50. Even if Mate 40 sold out, Huawei has a considerable quantity of Kirin 9000 chipset for the upcoming P50 and Mate 50 smartphones.
Kirin 9000 uses TSMC’s 5nm build process and has Octa-core architecture including 1 x Cortex -A77 at 3.13 GHz, 3 x Cortex-A77 at 2.54 GHz, 4 x Cortex-A55 at 2.05 GHz. The chipset uses a 24-core mali-G78 GPU for extreme graphics performance.
