As per the news, a form of MSI’s 10th and 11th generation CPUs from Intel has been made public, showing information about the latest processors such as i9-11900K. Most of the specifications of the 11th generation CPU are the same as those officially disclosed by Intel before, but for the first time, the highest turbo frequency of all cores has appeared.

According to the data in the table, the overclockable CPUs of i9-11900K, i7-11700K, and i5-11600K are all 125W TDP, the same as the previous generation, but the memory frequency defaults to support DDR4-3200.

For the i9-11900K, this CPU Turbo Boost Max 3.0 has a turbo frequency of 5.2GHz, but in Thermal Velocity Boost mode, it can reach a single-core 5.3GHz turbo frequency, which is the same as the previous generation i9-10900K.

In this mode, the full core frequency is up to4.8GHz, which is 37% higher than the default frequency of 3.5GHz. But compared with i9-10900K, although the number of cores has been reduced from 10 cores to 8 cores, its full-core turbo frequency has fallen by 0.1GHz instead.

MSI leaked Intel i9-11900K CPU specification: single-core up to 5.3GHz, full-core 4.8GHz.  Intel i9-11900K appeared on Geekbench: single-core running score surpassed the previous generation by 32% ”

Intel officially stated that compared to the previous generation, the IPC performance of the i9-11900K has grown by 19%, the core display performance has increased by 50%, and it can provide more powerful AI performance. So although the number of cores has been decreased, the overall performance is expected to surpass i9-10900K.
