Today, Razer launched a new version of the Viper Mouse, which extended the polling rate to 8KHz in one go, four times the current top gaming mouse.
This mouse inherits the symmetrical design of the poison viper series, adopts a wired design, and is specially developed for gaming users.
Although the DPI of the current gaming mouse has reached a very high level, it is limited by the polling rate, and the performance of the mouse is still not completely utilized.
This technology called Hyper Polling uses a high-speed USB controller to extend the polling rate to such a high value for the first time, which is a breakthrough in the mouse industry.
Currently, most gaming mice support up to 1000Hz polling rate, and only a few can reach 2000Hz, which represents the frequency of signal transmission between the mouse and the PC.
Although the mouse has a nominal polling rate of 1KHz, this value is not always maintained in actual use, the delay is always greater than 1ms, and the fluctuation is severe.
According to the official icon, the mouse polling rate using Hyper Polling technology has always been kept below 0.5ms and is very stable.

This Razer mouse is furnished with a top-of-the-line Focus+ optical sensor (PAW3399), up to 20K DPI, 650 IPS tracking rate, and 50G acceleration. The sensor has asymmetric stop technology, which can perfectly track the movement and achieve precise positioning without losing frames.
Razer Venom 8KHz mouse is furnished with second-generation Razer optical micro-motion, with a life span of 70 million times and a response time as low as 0.125ms.
By looking at the structure, this mouse inherits the lightweight design of the poison viper series, uses an internal hollow shell, and weighs as low as 71g. Due to the symmetrical design of the mouse, there are also two side buttons on the right side of the mouse, which is convenient for left-handed users.
Additionally, the mouse wire also uses Razer’s iconic Speedflex super soft braided wire, which reduces the drag effect and does not interfere with player operations.
The Razer Venom Viper 8KHz wired mouse is currently on sale in the Razer Tmall flagship store at a price of 599 yuan, which is not very expensive compared to its Zhuowei and other gaming mice.
