Samsung launched the first foldable smartphone – Galaxy Fold in February 2019. The company also added the Galaxy Z Fold series of products to further expand the product lineup by launching new foldable phones.
Looking to the future, the South Korean technology giant also launched the clamshell foldable device Galaxy Z Flip.
This year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 2 equipped with an ultra-thin glass display panel. However, we also heard that due to the future era of foldable smartphones, the company will terminate the Galaxy Note series in order to bring the Galaxy Z Fold series into its mainstream.
According to South Korean media reports, Samsung has begun to focus on the new Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip devices that will be launched this year. It is reported that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 (tentative name) is expected to be launched around May this year.
In addition, the report also hinted that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have S Pen support, and its display can be folded twice like a Z shape. It is worth mentioning that on the Galaxy out of the box in 2021, Samsung informed that it will provide S Pen support for more devices in the future.
The previous report shows that the leaked renderings and patented information indicate that future foldable phones may be launched in the Z-fold type or a tablet-like folding method.
However, the company has not officially released any information about future smartphones, so we must wait until the official information arrives.
