AMD has launched the 21.2.1 version of the adrenaline graphics driver update. This update mainly fixes several display problems and game problems.
This update improves the performance of the horror game ‘Psychic’ on the 16GB RX 6800XT graphics card. AMD stated that the game performance of ‘Psychic’ has risen by 9% at the 4K high setting.
Followed by some fixes and updates, the updates are as follows:
- Fixed an issue where when connecting two monitors to Radeon RX Vega series graphics cards, if at least one monitor is set to a high refresh rate, the monitor may flicker or become damaged.
- Fixed the problem that the screen may flicker when using MSI Afterburner monitoring software.
- Fixed the issue that Radeon recording and streaming functions may not be enabled on AMD HD 7800 series graphics products.
- Fixed an issue where certain models might not be rendered or rendered incorrectly when using SketchUp on Radeon RDNA graphics cards.
- Fixed an issue where some Samsung CRG9 series monitors may have a black screen when waking up from sleep .
- Fixed an intermittent application crash issue in the game “Metro: Departure” when DirectX Raytracing is enabled.
- Fixed an issue where the secondary display may freeze when playing “Doom: Eternity” on the secondary display.
Known issues:
- When using Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards to execute Apex Predator tasks, the game ‘Hitman 3’ may encounter application crashes.
- Radeon FreeSync may not be enabled in Forza Horizon 4.
- Even when the system is idle, Radeon software may sometimes have higher CPU usage than expected.
- When Radeon FreeSync is enabled and the game is set to use borderless fullscreen, some games or applications may experience intermittent brightness flickering.
- After enabling enhanced synchronization on some games and system configurations, it may cause a black screen. It is recommended that users who encounter problems temporarily disable this feature.
