In the November investor report of TF International Securities, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also claimed that the ultra-wide-angle lens will be upgraded to ƒ/1.8 aperture. But it will only be upgraded on the iPhone 13 Pro model, so how many models of the lens will get Upgrade, the current information is inconsistent.
Moreover, it is also stated that the upgraded ultra-wide-angle lens will be extended to other models of the iPhone flagship series in the second half of 2022.
A larger aperture will allow more light to pass through the lens, and an aperture from ƒ/2.4 to ƒ/1.8 can significantly improve the low-light performance of the iPhone 13 model when shooting in ultra-wide-angle mode.
The upgraded version of the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s telephoto lens will be extended to the standard version of the iPhone 13 Pro, with a focal length of 65mm and an aperture of ƒ/2.2. Will be available to Apple later this year. This move is expected to benefit more camera controllers of iPhone models.
Apple expects to use the same display size and camera settings in the iPhone 13 product line, including 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch models with dual-lens cameras and 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models with three lenses.
Other rumored camera functions include the expansion of LiDAR scanners and sensor mobile image stabilization to more models.
