Game: Next-generation of ‘Battlefield’ will be released later this year

EA CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed on today’s earnings call that the next generation of ‘Battlefield’ games will be released later this year.

As per the news,  the game will make full use of the advantages of the next-generation platform and will provide immersive combat. He also added that the next ‘Battlefield’ will feature ‘unprecedented scale’ and provide more players than before.

This probably means that the game will exceed 64 players, which is the number of players limited by the latest ‘Battlefield 5’. More importantly, the official confirmation that the new work will adopt the modern war style.

The latest ‘Battlefield 5’ currently supports NVIDIA DLSS technology that can enhance the frame rate by using machine learning algorithms. The game also supports Direct RayTracing, which can be turned on on both NVIDIA Ampere and AMD RDNA2 architectures.

EA reiterated its commitment to releasing the game later in 2021. The new ‘Battlefield’ is already ahead of the internal development schedule that means that there is a high probability that there will be no skipping votes.  On the other side, the new ‘Battlefield’ is supposed to appear on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S / X together.
