SpaceX plans to launch the ‘Falcon 9’ Starlink satellite on Thursday after SN9 spacecraft exploded again
Today, it was reported that if all goes well, SpaceX will release two batches of Starlink satellites on Thursday morning local time, including an interval of only a few hours.
First, SpaceX plans to launch the Falcon 9 rocket from the Space Launch Station 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base and send a batch of Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit.
The release is scheduled for 1:19 a.m. local time. Weather forecasts show that there is a 90% chance that the launch will be successful. This launch will mark the 18th batch of Starlink satellites into orbit.
About five hours later, in the reverse order, SpaceX will launch Starlink satellites marked as the 17th mission. A Falcon 9 will be launched from launch pad 39A of the Kennedy Space Center, with more than 60 Starlink satellites.
The launch time is supposed to be 5:36 AM local time on Thursday morning. According to the weather forecast, the weather is good, and there is a 90% chance that the launch will be successful.
According to the forecast, ‘The weather conditions for the launch on Thursday morning are ideal. The only concern is that if the low-pressure area moves slower than predicted, there will be slight winds during launch.’
Whether or other problems will always delay one or two launches. Affected by the weather, both tasks have been rescheduled several times this week.
SpaceX is providing Starlink Internet services to certain regions in the United States and Canada and plans to increase this year. The next few launches will take the company’s orbital spacecraft to more than 1,000.
