A few days ago, Lenovo Group Research Institute launched the ‘Lenovo 5G /6G White Paper (2020 Edition). According to the latest GSA data, as of December 2020, 135 operators in 58 countries around the world have commercialized 5G networks and services, of that 126 operators have released 5G mobile services and 48 operators have launched 5G home broadband business.
As of December 2020, global producers have released a whole of 519 5G terminals, and 303 have been commercialized. Among them, 5G mobile phones and 5G fixed wireless access devices (FWA) terminals accounted for nearly 70% of the market share, and mobile phones accounted for nearly half of 5G terminals, reaching 48.4%.
Since 2018, Lenovo has launched the Motorola Z3 smartphone (with the ‘Lenovo 5G Connect’ 5G module for 5G communication), Z6 Pro 5G version, Motorola edge+, Lenovo Rescue Gaming Phone Pro, and Motorola Razr launched in September 2020 Foldable 5G mobile phones, etc..
Lenovo announced that 5G technology has become one of the major strategic directions of Lenovo Group. It runs through its end-edge-cloud-network-intelligence technology architecture.
