On Thursday, US Eastern Time, the US space exploration technology company SpaceX successfully launched a batch of Starlink Internet satellites.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket was launched from Launch Pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base.  This launch is furnished with 60 Starlink satellites, bringing the total number of satellites into orbit to 1083.

If the two prototype satellites launched in 2018 are included, the total number of satellites into orbit is 1085.

At the beginning of this year, SpaceX launched 143 small satellites into space, setting a historical record for the most satellites launched in a single time.

Among the 143 satellites, 10 are Starlink satellites of SpaceX, and the remaining 133 are from other companies. This launch is SpaceX’s first release of Starlink satellites into polar orbit and is a key part of the company’s continued expansion of its broadband services.

As early as January 2015, Musk announced the satellite Internet service project. This project was named ‘Starlink’ that aims to provide users all over the world with high-speed Internet access, especially in rural and remote areas.

It is reported that shortly after launch on Thursday, SpaceX plans to release another batch of Starlink satellites (60 satellites) at the Kennedy Space Center 39A launch pad at 5:14 am Eastern Time on Friday.
