Google Chrome 88 officially released QR code web sharing

Posted on

Officially launched the function of sharing web pages through QR codes in the Google Chrome 88 browser. This feature has been tested experimentally for a period of time, and now more than 70% of desktop users who use Google Chrome can utilize this feature.

This function can be accessed by clicking the address bar or by right-clicking on the webpage. Pictures can also be shared through their own QR codes. Among them is the iconic little dinosaur in the middle of the QR code.

Most smartphone camera apps now have a built-in automatic QR code scanning function, which means that as long as you open the phone camera app and point it at the screen, you should be able to open the shared URL.

Additionally, you can fastly enable scan QR code access through third-party apps such as WeChat and Alipay. This function is another way to connect mobile phones and PCs, and compared to other less reliable methods such as WiFi, Bluetooth, or paired device connection, it has fewer restrictions and is more convenient to use.
