A new patent from Sony on the US Patent and Trademark Office website today. The patent content shows that Sony may be working hard to introduce a Wi-Fi transceiver module for the DualSense controller of PS5.
This latest technology will permit the controller to cooperate with the Bluetooth transceiver through a brand new Wi-Fi transceiver module.
When the player inputs an operation on the controller, the Bluetooth module and the Wi-Fi transceiver module will work at the same time to send out signals to the game console or server.
The reception processing is performed based on the first of the two signals. In this way, the delay of the DualSense controller can be reduced.
It is worth noting that although the image in the patent utilizes the pattern of the DualShock 4 handle, and the filing time of this patent is also in 2019, the US Patent and Trademark Office website has only been launched in two days that probably means that Sony will this technology is utilized in subsequent DualSense controllers, perhaps an upgraded version of the DualSense controller.
