Samsung’s 65W fast charger could launch soon as it passes TUV certification

Last month, we confronted leaked information about Samsung‘s upcoming 65W fast charger. The adapter model is TA-865, which is suitable for Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, Fold, and other mobile phones that use a USB-C output interface.

According to the latest information, Samsung’s charging adapter bearing model EP-TA865 has recently passed TUV SUD certification. It supports a maximum current of 20V or 3.25A, which means it will be a 65W fast charging adapter. Apart from this, TUV certification did not disclose detailed information about this upcoming charger.

As we all know, the Galaxy S20 Ultra supports 45W fast charging, while the latest Galaxy S21 series only supports 25W charging. Although the company also abandoned the charger in the retail box, and consumers must purchase the charger as an additional accessory.

Previous reports show that the device has also passed the certification of South Korean institutions. Since Samsung Galaxy S21 phones do not support fast wired charging up to 65W, we can expect that Galaxy Note 21 may support this fast charger. As per the technical standards, a 65W fast charger can fully charge a compatible Galaxy device in 30 minutes.

Currently, Samsung has not yet disclosed any information about its upcoming devices or accessories. We must wait until the official confirmation arrives.
