The Xiaomi AX3600 router revealed in the v1.1.12 software update on the 9th, bringing a major upgrade of the Mesh function. After the new version of the firmware is updated, the Xiaomi AX3600 router supports hybrid networking with AX6000, and also supports Mesh networking in AP mode.
The maximum number of connected devices in the entire Mesh network has increased from 4 to 10. Additionally, the Xiaomi router AX3600 also optimizes the experience when 2.4G is used in conjunction with some IoT devices.
The web background adds the localized installation of the NetEase UU plug-in and the default gateway of the DHCP server, which supports personalized configuration. The IPv6 native mode supports remote access to intranet servers.
It should be noted that Xiaomi stated that if users have already used AX3600 and AX6000 Mesh networking before, it is recommended to manually upgrade AX3600 first. After the upgrade is successful, reset it before proceeding to Mesh networking.
The Xiaomi router AX1800 and Redmi router AX5/AX6 will also successively launch new and upgraded new firmware for Mesh. It is expected that the OTA upgrade will be unified by the end of March.
