AMD has not launched 5000 series APU, but its engineering samples have been leaked continuously.
Last month, the R7 5700G appeared on Taobao, and recently the processor appeared on eBay. A seller from Hong Kong, China is now selling engineering samples of AMD R7 5700G APU for $499 .
The APU has the same AMD OPN code (100-000000263-30) as the 5700G leaked a month ago. The seller mentioned in the description that it will not give GPU drivers for integrating Radeon Vega graphics, so it needs to be used with other graphics cards.
However, since the quotation was launched, it seems that the driver has been available to sellers, and buyers who purchase APU can also get the driver.
In January 2021, a user on the Chiphell Forum with the ID solder launched the test data of the R7 5700G engineering version. In the case of overclocking to 4.75GHz, R7 5700G single-threaded running points 651.8 points.
Previous Geekbench information shows that the R7 5700G has 8 cores and 16 threads, 16MB of L3 cache, the main frequency reaches 3.8GHz, and the acceleration frequency is 4.6GHz.
The core graphics card of the R7 5700G is still Vega architecture. It is not clear whether the processor is only for OEMs.
