Microsoft released Win10 build 18363.1379 updates: Fixes WiFi connection problem when using WPA3

Posted on

Microsoft released cumulative updates for Win10 1909 version and Windows Server 1909 version. The internal version number of this update is 18363.1379 (KB5001028) that fixes the WiFi connection problem when using WPA3.

The problem originated in the internal version 18363.1350 that was given to users as an optional update in January. For users who have not installed the optional update, there may be problems installing the new update.

Since this issue only affects the 1909 version, and the 1909 version will also hold support in May this year, Microsoft recommends that users directly upgrade to the 2004 version.

Users can find the update in “Update and Security” -> “Windows Update”.

The following is the update log:

Solved the problem that caused a stop error 0x7E in wifi.sys, when the user tried to connect using Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3). This problem occurs for users who install KB4598298 or KB4601315.
