Samsung Galaxy M51 receiving February 2021 security update

Back in September 2020, Samsung launched the Galaxy M51 smartphone equipped with a 7000mAh battery. It is supported by the Snapdragon 730G processor and the pre-installed version of One UI 2 based on Android 10. Immediately after its release, the company launched One UI 2.5 firmware.

According to the latest information, the Korean tech giant started to send new firmware updates for Galaxy M51 devices. It brings the latest Android patch released in February 2021. According to the security bulletin, it fixes 4 critical levels and 32 advanced CVEs to improve the performance of the phone.

Currently, Galaxy M51 users in the United Kingdom (UK) can get the latest security updates by going to the “Settings” of their device, then opening the “Software Update” section, and finally clicking “Download and Install“. After ensuring its stability, the company will expand the firmware to other regions in the next few days.

What about the Android 11 and One UI 3.0 update?

So far, various Samsung Galaxy devices have received Android 11-based One UI 3.0 or One UI 3.1 updates. On the other hand, Galaxy A31 plans to get the One UI 3.0 update in April 2021.

As we have seen before, the company has delivered this major Android update earlier than planned, so we can expect that the Galaxy M51 will continue to use the same approach.
