AMD overclocking tool Clock Tuner For Ryze n (CTR) developed by foreign developer Yuri Bubliy has recently updated version 2.1. The new version of the software is easier to manage, gives a variety of new features, and allows most Users to use this software to overclock the Ryzen 5000 series CPU to 5.0GHz.
The official promotional map reveals that under the premise of decreasing the voltage of 25mV, the maximum frequency of the R9-5900X processor can be boosted to 5025MHz, and it can support up to 6 cores to reach this frequency at the same time.
CTR 2.1 provides a brand new Hybrid OC mode. The PX Profile profile brought by it is most suitable for general purposes such as games and running points. This configuration scheme gives a stable frequency output and is not affected by any temperature limitation.
Users can use the PX mode to ensure the performance of buck and overclock, which is simple and easy to use. The new version of the software also brings a new interface, each column option has two buttons that are used to save settings and activate/deactivate settings.
Additionally, CTR 2.1 version also brings the following updates:
- CTR can automatically find the most suitable configuration scheme for the CPU, supporting 5900X, 5600X, 5950X, and 5800X. The detection time has not increased compared to before.
- CTR will individually set the most suitable frequency for each recommended core, and the remaining cores will be kept at a relatively low frequency. In this way, it can be optimized according to the physique of each core to maximize the effect and improve stability.
- The HYBRID OC function reduces the time for profile activation, 30% less than before.
