Windows 10 is receiving ‘device usage’ personalization settings
Microsoft started testing the updated OOBE screen (out-of-the-box experience) to help users set up new or old devices after the Windows 10 feature update.
Microsoft is still exploring this idea and will give partial update support for ‘Device Usage’ in ‘Settings’ to help users customize their devices after leaving the OOBE screen.
Currently, Microsoft only adds this part of the menu to the ‘Settings’, and there is no actual functional control installed, clicking it will cause the settings to collapse.
According to reports, the internal code of the new ‘device usage’ page is named ‘SettingsUserIntentPage’ that indicates that the ‘device usage’ setting has been linked to the new OOBE service.
Microsoft has introduced this new ‘device usage’ update in the Windows 10 Build 21313 version, but currently, it can only be enabled using third-party tools. And it is not clear whether this feature will be provided to users in the next major feature update “Sun Valley”.
Microsoft is not completely confident in the features they tested in the preview version. They are currently only trying or exploring this new idea.
