Sony movie camera will be officially released on February 23, 2021
Sony shared tonight with a teaser the new members of ‘Sony Cinema Camera System’. Three movie cameras are shown in the promo, with decreasing volume. The brand new camera on the right will be officially released at 23:00 on February 23, 2021.
The three camera bodies have a gray matte surface, which is a feature of Sony’s new Cinema Line series camera series. Sony’s previously leaked FX3 mirrorless camera also uses a similar gray matte surface.
According to the leaked information, the FX3 has a similar configuration to the Sony A7S III, but the EVF electronic viewfinder is eliminated in order to decrease the volume.
Previously, Sony FX3 will be equipped with a 12-megapixel full-frame sensor, built-in CMOS anti-shake, and support 4K/120fps video shooting, but not 8K video.
Sony FX6 supports 4K/120p 4:2:2 10bit shooting. Compared with civilian products, the color record is more complete, the color gradation is smoother, and it is easy to adjust later.
This camera has a compact body design and weighs only 890g without accessories. Sony FX6 is equipped with Exmor R full-frame sensor, about 10.2 million effective pixels, and equipped with a BIONZ XR image processing chip.
This camera gives up to 15 levels of dynamic range, has a built-in electronic ND filter, dual native sensitivity, and supports S-Log 3. Sony FX3 is equipped with a built-in heat sink and fan to prevent overheating.
The Sony camera has a dust-proof and moisture-proof design is made of a magnesium alloy body and has dual CFexpress Type A card slots. The product is priced at 48,000 yuan ($7,432.07 US).
