BOE is preparing to supply OLED panels for Apple’s iPhone13 series

BOE is planning to supply OLED panels for Apple’s iPhone13 series. According to reports, BOE has started supplying OLED panels to Apple in the fourth quarter of 2020, mainly giving display screens for the refurbished iPhone12 series.

BOE has set up a Fab B11 factory in Mianyang specifically for Apple and has started to work hard to increase the supply of OLED panels to Apple. Along with this, Fab B11 is currently producing iPhone 13 panel samples.

The only screen suppliers for Apple’s iPhone were LG and Samsung. An industry source revealed: ‘Apple has decided to start with iPhone 13 and utilize low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin-film transistors (TFT) for some models.

This is beneficial to Korean manufacturers, but he expects BOE to be the latest Orders that have been received from iPhone 14.

In addition, BOE is also targeting Apple’s virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) devices. There is news that Apple is developing Micro OLED panels that will be used in Apple’s VR and AR products.
