AMD Instinct MI200 computing accelerator card is expected to be launched this year
AMD released the first cDNA-based computing accelerator card Instinct MI100 last year, and the latest reports indicate that its successor product MI200 is supposed to be launched this year.
The AMD Instinct accelerator card is a graphics card with a DNA architecture designed for computationally intensive and HPC workloads.
Instinct MI200 will replace MI100 and become the new flagship accelerator card of HPC. According to the naming rules, the calculation speed of MI200 will be twice that of MI100, and AMD is supposed to achieve this goal through its CDNA 2 MCM architecture.
