AMD’s current latest Ryzen desktop processors include a variety of models from 5600X to 5950X, but the 5000 series processors on the market only have models with the ‘X’ suffix.

Dell Canada’s official website showed a commercial machine, the Ryzen 7 5800 processor appeared in its configuration options, without the ‘X’.

On the product configuration page, choosing R7-5800 is 150 Canadian dollars (769 yuan) cheaper than 5800X. The current Chinese value of Ryzen 7 5800X is 3199 yuan, and R7-5800 will be 2430 yuan after conversion.

The current rate of R5-5600X is 2399 yuan that is only designed with 6 cores and 12 threads. If R7-5800 goes on sale, it will threaten the status of 5600X with its very close price.

The AMD R7-5800 processor and the model with the ‘X’ suffix are designed with 8 cores and 16 threads, but the normal version has an acceleration frequency of up to 4.6GHz, and the overclocking capability is limited, mainly for the OEM market.

In terms of other specifications, the two processors are the same, equipped with 4MB L2 cache and 32MB L3 cache, and are built using TSMC’s 7nm process technology.
