Sony launched the FX3 movie camera on the evening of February 23. This product is for professional users and is specially designed for video shooting. It has an active cooling fan. It uses 10.2 million pixels full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor and BIONZ XR image processor.
This camera supports 4.2K 16bit RAW external recording, 10bit 4:2:2 internal recording, up to 4K 120p. FX3 has a dynamic range of 15+, ISO can be extended to 409600, and a 5-axis in-camera anti-shake. In the demo film, Sony showed the blurring effect and dynamic range of FX3.
Sony FX3 supports S-Log3 recording that can obtain a wide dynamic range that is convenient for later adjustment. S-Cinetone tone mode can obtain the color performance with movie texture, and there are many built-in modes.
Since Sony FX3 supports a 5-axis anti-shake in the camera, it can record the jitter metadata collected by the sensor, and use the Catalyst software to process it to get a more stable picture, and the effect is obvious.
Sony FX3 is designed for professional photographers, focusing on control efficiency. Users can achieve autofocus during shooting through the touch screen and can set 1-7 multiple AF transition speeds.
Along with this, in manual focus mode, you can immediately switch to AF-assisted focus , which can be achieved by touching the screen. Sony FX3 uses E-mount and supports up to 59 Sony lenses. The body is made of a magnesium alloy body with a built-in cooling fan and also supports PD fast charging.
The camera also supports high-speed wireless WiFi connection and wired LAN connection, and supports USB 3.2 interface for online shooting. In terms of storage, FX3 supports the installation of two CFexpress Type-A memory cards to ensure the recording capability of high-bit-rate videos.
