Microsoft will release an SSD upgrade kit for Surface Pro 7 Plus

Posted on

In January this year, Microsoft released the Surface Pro 7+, with almost no changes in appearance. It has updated the 11th generation Core, the SSD is replaceable, and the value begins at 6588 yuan.

Microsoft intends to give SSD upgrade services for companies with Surface Pro 7+. The cost of the upgrade has not yet been declared. In addition, the SSD upgrade kit will be temporarily available in the United States.

Microsoft’s previously released Surface Pro X and Surface Laptop Go do not yet have an SSD upgrade kit. Foreign media said it did not encounter any problems after upgrading the 128GB Surface Pro X to a larger third-party M.2 2230 SSD.

Another media confirmed that the Surface Laptop 3 is equipped with Toshiba’s BG4 2230 M.2 SSD that is 4 times faster than a SATA hard drive, but it is far inferior to high-end M.2 NVMe SSDs such as Samsung 970 PRO.
