Intel Core i7-11700K appeared in German e-commerce
Intel Core i7-11700K is the top model of the new generation Rocket Lake-S series, with 8 cores and 16 threads design. It is rumored that this series of processors will be launched on March 16, but Intel has not officially declared the specifications of the new products.
The Core i7-11700K should not exist, but it did appear on the Enter Mindfactory platform, one of the largest retailers in Germany. The platform also admitted that it did not violate Intel regulations in the process, and only in 2 Within days, users reported that they had bought a new processor from the above-mentioned store.
Although Intel has not launched this product so far, it does not prevent samples and retail samples from sneaking away. Intel has already introduced a brand new Z590 motherboard, but the new motherboard does not seem to be able to completely release the potential of the new processor.
Earlier information shows that Intel is still making the final microcode update for the official release, which is expected to be on sale on March 30. In other words, there is still one month before the official launch, and Mindfactory is already on sale.
Although its cost is much higher than the 10th generation Core, if someone wants to buy in advance, then this will be an opportunity. As far as is known, Intel’s 11th-generation Core Rocket Lake-S utilizes the new Cypress Cove architecture, with up to 8 cores and 16 threads.
The multi-thread performance is not as good as the previous generation, but the single-core performance is absolutely leading.
On the other side, the 11th-generation desktop Core has 20 PCIe 4.0 channels, integrates a USB 3.2 Gen 2*2 control chip, and supports the Intel 500 series chipset. Intel Rocket Lake-S will also utilize a UHD 750 core display, 256 stream processor, 1.3GHz frequency that is about 50% higher than UHD 630.
