Microsoft Teams will release a lightweight version of the Chromium kernel

Microsoft Teams is an application designed for enterprise users that can realize video conferencing, sharing and editing files, and editing schedules and calendars.

Microsoft officially released the Web version of the Teams application, aimed at the use of low-configuration devices that is conducive to the rapid deployment of organizations and institutions on different computers.

This version is developed based on the Microsoft Edge Chromium version that is essentially a browser, but hides the address bar, extensions, and menus, and looks the same as a normal home program.

The name of the application has changed to ‘Microsoft Teams Alpha’. The source stated that this application is based on Web page development, so it will always maintain the latest version at the time of design, simplifying the deployment process.

Microsoft said that the Web version of the Teams application can give faster loading speeds on all devices, especially for students and other users. Additionally, the memory footprint is also very small, and the future Teams standard version will also be smoother.
