According to the plan, SpaceX will release 12,000 micro-satellites into space between 2019 and 2024 and use these satellites to build a space-based Internet covering the world.
Previously, another 60 Starlink satellites were released on the Falcon 9 rocket, and the satellites successfully entered orbit. However, the first-stage Falcon 9 rocket failed to recover in this mission, but crashed into the sea, ending the record of 24 consecutive successful landings.
At 3:24 on March 4th, US Eastern Time (16:24 on Thursday, Beijing time), Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) again launched the ‘Falcon 9’ rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
A ‘Starlink‘ satellite was successfully put into orbit. Subsequently, the Falcon 9 first-stage rocket successfully landed on the unmanned ship Of course.
SpaceX’s Starlink plans to have more than 1,000 satellites in orbit and currently has Internet access services. Users can apply for the Starlink antenna kit for US$499 and subscribe to the service for US$99 per month.
