With Flutter 2, developers can use the same code base to build native applications for the five operating systems of iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as to create web experiences for browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Google stated that Flutter can even be embedded in cars, TVs, and smart home appliances to give the most universal and portable experience for environmental computing.
In Flutter 2, Google increased Flutter from a mobile framework to a portable framework, allowing applications to basically run on multiple platforms without change.
Google data displays that there are more than 150,000 Flutter applications in the Google Play store alone, and now applications can be deployed to desktop devices and web platforms without rewriting.
Google pointed out that more than a thousand engineers are using Dart and Flutter to build applications. Many products have been launched, including Stadia, Google One, and Google Nest Hub.
