Microsoft’s Xbox game console now supports Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant. Players can control the game console through voice commands, such as turning on and off the device, starting a favorite game, pausing, and so on.
The Alexa App has been logged into the Microsoft App Store on Xbox, and it is temporarily unavailable for download. It is supposed to be officially available in a few days.
According to the introduction of the app store, the Xbox One series and Xbox Series X/S will support the application function. This App has a visual effect similar to the Echo Show. Users require to buy Amazon’s Echo smart speaker at the same time and pair the speaker with the Xbox.
The following are the commands that will be supported by the Alexa voice assistant on Xbox: Turn on and off the phone, start the game, get Game Pass to subscribe to new messages, turn on Netflix, pause or resume, record the screen, and ask friends if they are online.
The following are the functions supported by the voice assistant to control the Xbox UI interface: Play music, show the screen of the home smart camera, check e-mail, check the calendar, and the weather.
Additionally, Microsoft is also testing the xCloud cloud game function to facilitate PC and mobile phone users to play 3D masterpieces at any time. Currently, xCloud only supports 720P resolution but will support 1080P in the future.
