AMD’s third-generation thread ripper Threadripper PRO series processors are officially on sale this month, including a variety of models from 12 cores to 64 cores, for professional workstations, scientific computing, and other purposes.
This series of processors is currently on the sale of global e-commerce companies, and Chinese user can purchase packages that include motherboards.
AMD Ryzen Thread Tearer PRO contains a total of four models, namely 3945WX, 3955WX, 3975WX, 3995WX, the number cores are 12 cores, 16 cores, 32 cores, and 64 cores. The processors all use TSMC’s 7nm process technology, with 128 PCI 4.0 channels and 8 channels of memory.
The flagship model 3995WX has 9 CCD chips, the highest frequency can reach 4.2GHz, a total of 32MB L2 cache, and 256MB L3 cache. The AMD PRO series of thread tearers are specially designed for enterprise users. AMD PRO technology can bring multi-level security protection to avoid data leakage.
The processor supports AMD Memory Guard memory encryption technology, virtualization technology, hardware TPM encryption, hardware random number generator, and Microsoft security protection functions.
By looking at the cost, the 64-core 3995WX is priced at 40079 yuan, the 32-core 3975WX is priced at 20,079 yuan, and the 16-core 3955WX is priced at 8,379 yuan (1,287.06 USD).
The price of the Ryzen Thread Ripper PRO 3945WX has not yet been announced and will be released at a later date. 3995WX with Gigabyte WRX80-SU8-IPMI workstation motherboard is priced at 64999 yuan (9,984.18 USD).
