Google Flutter web support now entered stable version

Google developers said that as part of the Flutter 2 release, Flutter’s web support has now started the stable version.

As per the report, the first version of Flutter supports iOS and Android, and developers have used it to publish more than 150,000 apps in the mobile app store.

Google said that this initial version of web support, mainly focuses on three application scenarios:

  • Progressive web apps (Progressive web apps, PWA), with both web coverage and desktop application functions.
  • Single page apps (Single page apps, SPA), only need to be loaded once, and dynamically exchange data with Internet services.
  • Extend the existing Flutter mobile application to the web and share code on the two platforms.

Google officially released Flutter 2 on March 4. With Flutter 2, developers can utilize the same code base to build native applications for the five operating systems of iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as to create web experiences for browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
