Xiaomi MIX 4 Pro Max uses Samsung Fold 2 inward folding scheme, unlike Huawei Mate X2

Xiaomi’s first foldable mobile phone will be released.  this new device may be officially designated as a sequel to the Mi MIX series, like Mi MIX 4 Pro Max. The screen is supplied by Huaxing Optoelectronics.

Xiaomi model with the model number M2011J18C passed the audit and certification of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology last month but has not launched more information.

The tipster disclosed that this device is Xiaomi’s first flagship folding screen, with no openings on the front. The J18 inward folding solution is not as clever as the Mate X2, and its internal structure is similar to Fold2.

Huawei Mate X2 is mainly due to the fierce image stacking, both 1/1.28 IMX700y, and 10X optical zoom. J18 positioning is obviously different, the battery is bigger and faster charging is stronger, and the image is flat.

Xiaomi is supposed to release three folding screen mobile phones in 2021. They are the outer folding type, the inner folding type, and the clamshell type that are the three mainstream forms at present. The design of the outward-folding model is similar to that of Huawei Mate X, so the size is larger than the other two models.

The screen refresh rate of Xiaomi’s folding screen mobile phone is 90Hz, but it can be 120Hz, and it uses Samsung’s latest UTG flexible glass technology. Among them, the new Xiaomi folding screen, code-named Cetus, has a 108MP camera and seems to run MIUI12 based on Android 11.
