Huawei Mate X2 folding screen flagship phone announced, is similar to closest competitor Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

Huawei declared their Mate X2 folding screen flagship phone. The biggest concern of ordinary users is of course that it is similar to the closest competitor Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.Youtube blogger Ben’s Gadget Review has released hands-on videos of two folding screen phones.

Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, thinner, better screen aspect ratio, better zoom and periscope camera, and larger screen that is less prone to wrinkles.

Huawei Mate X2 uses an 8-inch OLED main screen (resolution 2480×2200) and an external OLED display, both of which support a 90Hz screen refresh rate. Supporting this foldable smartphone is Kirin 9000, which is also equipped with 8GB of memory.

This foldable phone will be available in 256GB and 512GB storage versions. Huawei Mate X2 is equipped with a 4500mAh battery. Because it supports 55W fast charging, it can be charged from 0 to 50% in about 20 minutes.

Cameras: The Huawei Mate X2 foldable device uses four rear cameras-50 million pixels RYYB main camera, 16 million pixels ultra-wide-angle lens, 12 million pixels 3x telephoto lens (supporting OIS), 800 Megapixel 10x periscope zoom camera (support OIS).

In terms of selfies, Huawei Mate X2 adds a 16-megapixel front camera to the punch hole on the foldable display. Other features include side fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, infrared, NFC, and USB-C.

Huawei Mate X2 utilizes the Android-based EMUI 11 system. The 256GB model of the Huawei Mate X2 is priced at 17,999 yuan ( US$2,785), while the 512GB version is priced at 18,999 yuan (US$2940).
