Intel 12th-generation Core AlderLake-S development board leak, tested DDR5 memory
Longsyslaunched two DDR5 memory module products (ES1), which are divided into 16GB 1Rank x8 and 32GB 2Rank x8, with a frequency of 4800MHz and a timing CL 40. Officially declared the Intel 12th-generation Core AlderLake-S development board, and tested DDR5 memory on this development board.
This development board has many interfaces, providing one PCIe x16 slot and three PCIe x4 slots. The PCH chip of the development board is covered with a black heat sink, and there is no text to mark the model information.
The unreleased Intel 12th-generation Core Alder Lake-S processor is hidden under the original Intel radiator. This development board has only two memory slots, Longsys only plugs in a 32GB DDR5 memory, in addition to an M.2 2280 NVMe solid-state drive.
According to the official BIOS information, the name of this motherboard is ‘AlderLake-S ADP-S DDR5 ‘ and the processor name is AlderLake DT, but the specific model is not shown, and its main frequency is only 0.8GHz. By looking at the memory, it can be seen that the memory frequency is 4800MHz, and the timing is 40-40-40-77.
It is worth noting that although there is only one memory inserted on the motherboard, two independent 16GB memories are displayed on the motherboard, and the interfaces are both Slot 0, each with two Ranks. This means that Longsys’s single 32G DDR5 memory can achieve dual-channel effects.
According to the data of Master Lu, the Alder Lake-S processor of this platform has 8 cores, the main frequency is 0.8GHz, and the graphics card and processor model are unknown. The task manager that the memory capacity is 32GB that is dual-channel. The platform is also equipped with Longsys’ own FORESEE 128GB SSD.
Longsys used Master Lu to test the system, and the system is Windows10 Professional Edition. Master Lu to run sub-results show that this AlderLake-S integrated platform to run sub- 55.79 very, Intel CPU score of 258,778 on behalf of 12 points, unknown nuclear significant GPU score of 19472 points, 32GB DDR5 memory score is as high as 193,864 very, hard to score 85,787 points.
In contrast, the performance of this engineering version of the CPU is comparable to that of Intel i5-8279U, and cannot reflect the true level of the 12th-generation official version of the CPU. The performance of DDR5 memory is significantly improved compared to 32GB DDR4 3200MHz.
Intel’s 12th-generation Core platform is supposed to be compatible with DDR5/DDR4 memory at the same time, and will also bring large and small core designs and support for the PCIe 5.0 protocol. The 12th generation platform is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2021.
