Intel’s 12th generation Core processor will mix large and small cores

A 12-generation Core Alder Lake-P processor from Intel appeared on the Geekbench running sub-platform, and some specification information was leaked.

This Alder Lake-P has 14 cores and 20 threads, it should be a combination of 6 large cores and 12 threads + 8 small cores and 8 threads. The frequency is 0.8GHz-4GHz, FCBGA 1744 package, and the third-level cache reaches 24. MB.

Intel’s 12th-generation Core ‘6 large cores and 8 small cores’ mobile processors appear
The core display of Alder Lake-P has the same specifications as the 11th generation Core low-voltage processor this is 96EU, which is not expected to increase much.

According to previous revelations, this processor may be the 12th generation Core U28 series or H45 series. The former power consumption is 20-28W, up to 6 large cores and 8 small cores, and the core display is up to 96EU.

The latter power consumption is 35-45W, the highest 6 large cores and 8 small cores, with a nuclear display up to 96EU. Intel said in January this year that the 12th generation Core processor will mix large and small cores and adopt a big.LITTLE large and small core design similar to Arm.

Alder Lake’s large core will use Intel’s next-generation Golden Cove, and the small core will use the next-generation Grace Mont. Alder Lake architecture processors will come out in the second half of 2021, and it is expected that thin and light notebooks will take the lead.
