Microsoft declared that it will give presentation coach functions on all platforms that support PowerPoint (Web, Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android).

The speech rehearsal function can provide users with feedback on rhythm, pitch, modal particles, grammar, and the use of sensitive phrases when they are speaking. After each speech, users will receive a feedback report.

This important feedback information will help users become better and more confident speakers. PowerPoint designer and chief project manager Derek Johnson said that in this complex work and learning environment, presentation skills are more important than ever, and the speech rehearsal function can help users improve their presentation skills through AI.

To use the speech rehearsal function on PowerPoint, users require to enter the slide show tab, and then select “Rehearse with Coach”. This function requires a stable network connection and a microphone for recording sound.

The speech rehearsal function will listen to what the speaker is saying. For example, if the user pauses for a long time during the speech, or keeps making ‘um’ sounds, the function will record these questions and end the speech. Feedback to the user afterward.

Microsoft has also made a series of upgrades for the speech rehearsal function, which can provide suggestions for users’ body language, repeated words, and pronunciation.

When the user is giving a speech online, the speech rehearsal function can inform the user whether the distance from the camera is moderate and whether it can be clearly seen by the audience.

In addition, when users use repeated words too much, the speech rehearsal function will finally summarize these words, and then list alternative words.

Finally, if the user said the wrong word, the speech rehearsal function will pop up a notification, and the user can also listen to the correct pronunciation directly from the suggestions.

These suggested pronunciations will be based on ‘General American English’ as the standard. If the user does not agree, you can choose to It’s closed.
