MSI launched the SUPRIM SE series of graphics cards, including RTX 3070 and RTX 3080. This series of graphics cards still use SUPRIM’s heat dissipation and appearance design. The heat sink specifications are the same as the flagship models, but the default frequency is decreased.
MSI SUPRIM series graphics cards are equipped with a TRI FROZR 2S cooling system, equipped with three TORX 4.0 fans, connecting adjacent blades together, which can make the air volume more concentrated and increase the air pressure.
The radiator is equipped with a dedicated heat pipe for the memory chip to ensure stability. In addition, the heat dissipation fins and the copper substrate are nickel-plated, and the heat pipes on the contact surface are extruded into a square shape to maximize the thermal conductivity.
The graphics card cooling fan is equipped with special double ball bearings that not only have a good lifespan but also have a good mute ability. The electronic components of the graphics card use high-reliability resistors, capacitors, switches, etc., and the PCB utilizes a thicker copper plating layer to improve thermal conductivity and signal transmission capabilities.
MSI’s RTX 3080 SUPRIM X graphics card has a default frequency of 1920MHz and a TDP of 280W. The SUPRIM SE graphics card reduces the default frequency to 1785MHz and the TDP to 240W. Currently, MSI has not declared the cost information of this series of graphics cards, but it is expected to be significantly lower than SUPRIM X.
