Payday 3 will launch simultaneously on PC and consoles in 2023

The developer of the game ‘Payday 3’, declared that it has reached an agreement with Koch Media, which will contribute 50 million euros to help the development and marketing of the game.

Officials stated that the funds are currently sufficient and the development of the Payday series of game IPs will continue. The PC version of ‘Payday 3’ and game motherboards are scheduled to be launched in 2023.

This first-person shooter game is the sequel to “Payday 2” and was first announced in 2016, but the developer Starbreeze was in serious financial difficulties, which caused the game to be repeatedly postponed.

Starbreeze CEO Tobias Sj gren stated, ‘We are very pleased to announce this cooperation agreement, and the two companies have full confidence in the ‘Payday’ series of games.’

Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz said, ‘According to our understanding, ‘Payday 3’ will take this series of games to a new level, and will meet the expectations of fans and new players through innovative multiplayer gameplay.

This game is currently being developed using Unreal Engine. Koch Media’s parent company is headquartered in Austria and has published games such as the ‘Metro’ series, ‘Agent of Chaos’, and ‘Dead Island’.
