Motorola released the new edge s device on January 26, 2021, the world’s first Snapdragon 870 processor. This phone is equipped with a large 5000mAh battery, and the price of 6+128GB starts at 1999 yuan.
On March 26, Motorola officially launched the global version of this phone-G100 in Europe and Latin America. The global version of the mobile phone has the same configuration as the Chinese one, but the storage configuration starts from 8+128GB.
This phone is furnished with a 6.7-inch LCD full screen with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and supports MicroSD card expansion. The highest frequency of the Snapdragon 870 processor equipped with the mobile phone is 3.2GHz, which is up to 12% higher than that of the Snapdragon 865 CPU.
The mobile phone supports 5G and WiFi 6. In addition, it also has Turbo LPDDR 5 and Turbo UFS 3.1 technologies to further improve performance. Motorola G100 mobile phone uses a side fingerprint recognition solution, a 64-megapixel main camera at the rear, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth-of-field camera, and a ToF sensor.
The phone uses a dual front camera design, with a 16MP standard lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Chinese version of Motorola edge s 8+128GB is priced at 2399 yuan, but the global version of the G100 with the same configuration is priced at 499.99 euros, which is about 3850 yuan that is 1450 yuan more expensive than the Chinese version.
Additionally, Motorola also released the G50 mobile phone globally. This product is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor, a 6.5-inch 720p screen, a storage solution of 4+64GB or 4+128GB, and the price is about 1772 yuan.
