Wall Street Journal: Microsoft is negotiating to acquire the game chat software Discord for more than $10 billion
As reported, people familiar with the matter revealed that Microsoft is negotiating to acquire the game chat software Discord for more than $10 billion, but no deal has been reached yet.
A few days ago, a new report from the Wall Street Journal stated that Microsoft will complete the acquisition of Discord next month, and it will be an exclusive meeting.
Microsoft has been “buying, buying, and buying” games recently. It has previously acquired gaming giant Bethesda. Discord is a social platform that started with games and made a fortune.
Users can interact with the community or Chat with friends, entertaining games, or set up separate text channels to customize the server according to the things you like to discuss.
Currently, the platform has more than 100 million monthly active users. If Discord is included in the bag, this will be Microsoft’s largest acquisition since it bought Linkedin in 2016.
