SpaceX Dragon spacecraft issued false alarms, ISS astronauts responded quickly and pressed emergency button

Posted on

Currently, a Dragon spacecraft of SpaceX company named ‘Resilience’ is docking on the International Space Station (ISS). The spacecraft was launched in November last year. The spacecraft issued a false alarm causing panic on the International Space Station.

The warning issued by the spacecraft included fire, rapid loss of pressure, etc. The ISS astronauts responded quickly and pressed the emergency button. Afterward, it was discovered that it was a false alarm, and all readings were normal.

The reason for the false alarm was that a power module of the Long spacecraft failed that caused the processor to perform a reset operation, thus outputting the wrong alarm data.

The Resilience Dragon spacecraft previously sent 4 astronauts to the International Space Station, marking that SpaceX has successfully obtained NASA certification. In the future, the United States is expected to get rid of its dependence on Russia and use the Dragon spacecraft to perform manned missions.
