Samsung Galaxy S20 FE gets April 2021 security update
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE as an affordable Galaxy S20 phone that came with a bunch of features along with the Android 10-based One UI 2.5. These smartphones were also further selected for the beta testing of Android 11 based One UI 3.0.
Further, the South Korean tech giant has also released the One UI 3.1 update to the Galaxy S20 FE phones in January 2021. And now the company pushed a new firmware update for this device, which is focused to increase system security.
According to the info, the new Galaxy S20 FE firmware update comes with a build version of G780FXXS2CUC8 and installs the April 2021 security patch, which keeps the device protected against the upcoming external threats and viruses.
A few things to be noted that currently, only select Galaxy S20 FE models are picking up this new software update in some European countries. After ensuring the stability of this firmware, the company will expand its availability to more regions, which is expected in the coming days.
How to check for software updates:
- Open Settings
- Scroll down to the Software updates option
- Then tap on Download and install button
