Samsung has already started releasing April 2021 security updates for its eligible Galaxy models. The company is also simultaneously rolling out the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update for the remaining handsets. Moreover, the March 2021 security is yet to be reached to some phone.
However, the Galaxy Note 9 users are not eligible to receive the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update because they’ve already got two Android OS upgrades and completed their major update lifecycle. But these devices are still listed for regular security updates.
According to the info, Verizon locked Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users are now getting the latest March 2021 security update which can be identified via the build version N960USQS8FUC2.
The new Galaxy Note 9 firmware only enhances the security and doesn’t bring any new feature or major system optimization. Below, you can check the changelog of this update. Since it’s an initial rollout, so it may take some time to cover more Galaxy Note 9 units in the US.
